Boobs in the Wood was a somewhat off-the-wall show, with an interesting mix of bondage, cannibalism, religious debate and erm. lots and lots of sweeties. Despite this, the show went splendidly under the fantastic production team of Alex and Emma (outgoing & incoming El Prez's respectively), and with an unusual mix of principles and chorus from the previous Christmas. It also gave many now-veteran Pantonians their first taste of meaty parts. oo er.
Who the F**k is Alice?, on the other hand, was both one of the darkest yet most vibrant shows in Panto history. Its colourful set and costumes off-set by the disturbing undertones of overdose-induced morbidity and dark rituals (thanks to bin-bag-clad evil minions. sound familiar?). Perhaps one of its most memorable aspects was the piece de resistance of STA craftsmanship. a gigantic, demonic Cheshire Cat. completely with glowing eyes and working, gaping maw. Never has hardboard and pink paint been so terrifying.
