Pirates of the Bristol Channel
Curse of the Black Buoy Inn
Summer 2004
Dick Williams has run away from home to seek fame fortune and his manly-hood. Lucklly for the plot, if not for him, he is kidnapped by the navy, or possibly pirates, but probably both, though not at the same time. With shady underworld enforcers, a barmaid considerably brighter than Dick and a whole cast of colourful nautical characters including the king of the oceans him/herself, it is a race to discover hidden treasure. Or something. Woo hoo. er... yes anyway.
What's more, we did it as a 24 hour show, with singing, dancing and everyting! |
But that's not all! By golly, no! Also on that spectacular evening were several sketches and improv!
Whose idea was this anyway?
Never before seen in public (some of them have never before been allowed out in public, the very first performance (apart from the dress rehearsal) of the Panto Players Improv Troupe. Organised by Nick Skelton and including one or more of the following:
Adam Crook, Ben Clayton, Ben Leventhal, Karl Stewart, Richard Wadsworth, Robyn Dower, Marina Friesen, Mark Gartside, Satan, Nick Skelton, Rob Egginton, Will Voelcker and Michael J. Fox.
Silly sketches and Songs
As if that wasn't enough, here's a list of the sketches from the first half of the evening:
The Moderately Well-Known Four by Will Voelecker
EU Snakes and Ladders also by Will Voelecker
The Plank by Ben Leventhall
Transfusion Song by Richard Wadsworth
He Ain't Heavy, not written by us
